The University Of Kashmir has its own Health Centre which provides the comprehensive Health care to students, faculty and staff of the university especially to the hostel boarders and Campus residents. The centre has qualified Doctors and technical staff who handle and manage the patients in a very professional manner. The University Health Centre also serves as lab school for the students of Biochemistry, Clinical Biochemistry and Pharmaceutical Science where basic training about the first Aid and diagnostics etc is imparted to the students as per their curriculum.

The centre extends the medical facilities to the University Sports Department during various inter college, inter university and other tournaments.

The centre organizes multi-specialty camps, health educational and awareness programs in collaboration with other Govt. and Non- Government organization to develop core asset of the good health. The Eminent specialist of National repute are invited to examine and to generate awareness about the most prevalent disease in the valley like Diabetes, Hypertension, Cardiac related issues, Thyroid issue and PCOD among young girls.
